Is Flick Client safe? What about my account?
You sign in only inside Microsoft’s own window. Your password never reaches Flick Client: the launcher only receives an access token from Microsoft.
Tokens are encrypted on your computer by the system (DPAPI on Windows, the Keychain on macOS), and Flick servers never receive your token. The presence server only knows your UUID, your nickname and what you choose to set yourself (such as your friends list).
Download the launcher only from this site. Client mod files and launcher updates are only accepted with our digital signature.
Can I play with an offline account?
Yes. The launcher supports premium and offline accounts side by side and you can switch between them in one click. An offline account has no Mojang skin and cannot join servers that require a premium account.
Some online features are limited for offline accounts, because an offline UUID is derived from the nickname alone and anyone could type someone else’s name.
Does it work with other mods and servers?
Yes. Flick instances are regular Fabric Minecraft instances: you can add mods from Modrinth, resource packs and shaders. Sodium and Lithium come preinstalled.
The client does not change the game protocol, so you connect to normal servers. Keep in mind that some servers (especially PvP ones) have their own rules about modifications. Check the server rules before enabling things like ViewModel or Fast Chest.
Why does Windows SmartScreen warn me when I install?
New, unsigned apps show an “Unknown publisher” message until they build up reputation, and a code signing certificate costs money. We are working on getting one.

How do I uninstall Flick Client?
On Windows: Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Flick Client → Uninstall. The uninstaller does not delete your data (instances, worlds) by default, so your worlds are safe.
If you also want to remove the data, delete the .flickclient folder in %APPDATA% after uninstalling.
Does it work on macOS? What about Linux?
macOS support is coming soon. For now Flick Client runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
Linux is not available yet.
Is there Discord Rich Presence and chat?
Discord Rich Presence is built in. The friends list, direct messages and server invites work through the Flick presence server. Direct messages are not stored on the server.
Is this an official Mojang or Microsoft product?
No. Flick Client is an independent, unofficial project and is not affiliated with Mojang AB or Microsoft. You need your own copy of Minecraft, and the Minecraft EULA applies.
