Privacy Policy

1. Controller

The controller of your data is the owner of the Flick Client project. Contact: [email protected]. [To be completed: name or company, address.]

2. This website

  • The site does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, or external scripts and fonts.
  • The web server may keep standard technical logs (IP address, time, requested URL, browser) solely to keep the site secure and running. Logs are kept briefly and are not used for profiling.
  • The “Let me know when it is ready” button opens your mail program or Discord. The site does not collect email addresses.

3. Launcher and Microsoft sign-in

Signing in takes place in Microsoft’s own window. The launcher never sees or stores your password. Access tokens are encrypted locally on your computer (DPAPI on Windows, Keychain on macOS) and are never sent to Flick servers. Account data stays on your device.

4. Presence server (social features and profile)

When you use online features, the Flick presence server processes:

  • your Minecraft account UUID and nickname,
  • the profile settings you choose in the client, so that other Flick players can see them,
  • your friends list and invitations,
  • the time of your last activity (“last seen”),
  • your IP address for technical purposes (abuse prevention, connection limits), not stored permanently in your profile.

Direct messages are not stored on the server. They are relayed only while the recipient is online. Data is processed to provide the features described above.

5. Recipients

Data is not sold or shared with advertisers. Infrastructure (server, domain) is provided by hosting providers. [To be completed: provider name and server location.] Discord Rich Presence, if enabled, sends game information to your local Discord client.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to object, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. To have your data removed from the presence server, write to [email protected] with your nickname.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page.
